My Services
As your doula you can rely on me to provide you (and your partner if you have one) with attentive care, understanding, information and support before, during and after the birthing process. Whether this is your first or your fourth baby a new little one changes everything!
I will be your 'go to' person throughout your journey into parenthood or when expanding your family. Helping you navigate the options and find the path which feels right for you. I believe in a 'whole person' approach and will encourage you to connect with your instincts and intuition, ensuring you know what I know - that you can do this!
I'm very happy to tailor a package which suits your needs as every birth and family are different. To learn more about my services, please see below and if you think I could be the doula for you, do get in touch to discuss your particular needs and how I can support you.
Antenatal Visits
After beginning our relationship with a meet and greet, I take the time to get to know and understand you through our antenatal sessions, where we will discuss the birth process and map out your birth preferences for the big day.
We'll also examine your expectations and think about 'what if' scenarios so even if your birth is different to the picture in your mind, you can still think of it positively.
Whatever happens, I will be there to provide you with continuous emotional support and reassurance and answer any questions you may have as your pregnancy progresses.
Being prepared, informed and genuinely supported can make a huge difference to how you feel about your birth experience - it's what Doulas do!

We'll also think about life after baby arrives and make a plan for those early weeks, discussing what's important to you and how you can best be supported in the fourth trimester.

I am happy to attend appointments with you if needed and am committed to your holistic well-being, as well as that of your partner and growing family. I will be available by phone or email whenever needed throughout your entire pregnancy as well as after giving birth.

Birth Support
I offer personal support throughout the entirety of your birthing journey. Once on call, I will be on hand, staying in close contact and when your labour begins (and you are ready for me to) will come to your side. If you are having your baby in a birthing centre or hospital, I will travel with you, again providing that friendly face and reassuring presence.

As your Bosom Buddy Doula, I commit to offering you unwavering emotional and practical support (from wiping your brow, massaging your back and making sure you have a drink regularly through to reassuring you when those waves feel huge) or if you need me to fade into the background, I will give you that space. Together with your partner (if you have one) and medical professionals, we will be 'your team', making sure you have all you need (both physically and emotionally) to enable you to surrender to your body for birth with confidence and belief.

Whether in hospital or at home you can count on me to be there for you and your family and provide continuity and reassurance however you bring your baby into the world.

Postnatal and Postpartum Support
As important and special as the birth-day of your baby is, it is also your 'birth-day' as a mother and the fourth trimester is the time where you and your baby get to know each other and learn together.
It really doesn't matter how many times you've done it, it's all new with each little life! You and your family need time to adjust.

I believe it is imperative you are properly nurtured, cared for and supported during this time, so you can fully adjust and recover from birth. The idea is to protect the mother / baby dyad and to leave you free to concentrate on getting to know your baby! I can do this in many different ways from cooking a nourishing meal, helping you navigate feeding or simply being there to listen to you and allow you the space to 'be' as you get to know your baby and become accustomed to your new role as a new Mumma (or second, third or fourth time mumma!).

What I do is determined by your needs and I won't tell you what to do but rather help you find your own way and build your confidence as you become accustomed to being a parent (or having a newborn again if it's not your first time) and will be there for you every step of the way.
A friendly face and listening ear - your Bosom Buddy Doula.
